Tomorrow is pay day at Sheridan and, like every Thursday before our bi-weekly pay day, employees are receiving their ”pay stubs”. Some people open them (hoping for an unexpected bonus or an unannounced income tax reduction, are we???). Other people chuck them or file them. But whatever gets done with them, 2,500 pay stubs are printed every two weeks! That’s over 60,000 a year! Kinda needless since you can get it online… you can look up past pays and, if you’re really eager, you can even get current pay info a day or two before the stubs come out. It’s all there on AccessSheridan (Access PeopleSher Applications > AccessPeopleSher SA/HR > Self-Service > Payroll&Compensation > View Paycheck). Do the environment a favour and save paper, toner, and electricity by opting out of paper pay stubs. All you need to do is send a quick email to your payroll representative:

- Surnames F-K contact Ruby Hynes
- Surnames L-N & T-Z contact Janette Fattore
- Surnames O-S contact Mary Westwood-Hunting

What a great and easy idea. Took me all of two minutes to whip off a quick e-mail to the contact that you so conveniently posted a link to.
I am paper paystub free and I will spread the word.
